Academic Talent Search
Welcome to the 24-25 new school year! We are so excited to serve our students in the Academic Talent Search program again this year!
I wanted to reach out and remind you of the services Academic Talent Search provide to our students throughout the year. We meet with students at school during non-academic class time to cover important skills and habits they need to succeed. We also offer educational and cultural events, such as: campus visits, weekend day trips to places like the Grants Farm, Union Station, The Lincoln Presidential Museum and more! Everything is FREE for our students once they are accepted!
During the school year we cover the following: Goal setting, college timelines, college/career planning, study skills, financial literacy, academic advising and much more. We try to help each of our students on an individual level to meet their future goals. We also offer college campus visits, mileage reimbursement for campus visits not hosted by ATS, and SAT/ACT waivers. We are also in the process of planning an educational and cultural activity for the coming year.
If any of your students need a little extra direction and help in any of the above areas, please remember to refer them to ATS. We are still accepting students that are first generation (parents without a 4-year college degree) and/or low-income families during this 2024-25 academic year.
Attached is an email that can be sent to your students’ families through email and/or sent on social media to help inform them of our program along with an opportunity to apply.
Any feedback to help us serve your students better or provide support is always welcome. Please reach out to me or the advisor at your school to discuss how we can better serve our students.
Thank you for your time and commitment to the mission of the Academic Talent Search program.
Thank you,
Kristi Stadler
